High Efficiency Tethered Aircraft Systems

The RotorWing concept focuses on maximizing rotor efficiency by placing all of the lifing area at the tips of the rotor where air speed is highest. At the same time, mechanical complexity and weight is removed by replacing the center structure with tensile cables. In the end you have a vertical lift system at nearly the same efficiency and weight of a fixed wing aircraft!
